Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. At a young age, her dentist doctors parents and teacher mother supported Audrey's love of drama and theater. It was this love which trumped her original desire to be an animal scientist. The actress became famous as an actress in her early years and with great success. After completing her degree she was invited to take part in Jeunes Premiers an French TV talent-scouting programme sponsored by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to begin her acting profession. Tautou is a pupil of her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and enrolled in the school at the age of a child but has sworn off her Catholic education. She now claims to be a non-Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers are interspersed. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting work, she has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some images during Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrity, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her rise to fame as Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou's first big performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's leading actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie poulain, earned her fame to the world. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and was awarded awards across the world. It's the most-grossing French film in America. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou starred in many films including British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
